Skinsage is a dermatology-specific platform for HIPAA-compliant teledermatology with an integrative dermatology and holistic approach to care outside of the exam room. The platform is focused on continuity of care and on the management of chronic skin diseases, such as acne, rosacea, psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, allergic reactions, infections, seborrheic dermatitis, hair and nail diseases as well as anti-aging, cosmetic, and skin care concerns. It allows dermatologists and their patients to connect flexibly and securely via messaging, phone or video chats. Both synchronous and asynchronous teledermatology is possible. Documentation of the interaction is a snap either via dictation or by the use of high-level doctor and condition specific toolkits, which can be shared and updated between our physician users on the doctor side of the app and also provided as a shareable document so that patient’s may benefit from clearly written diagnoses and treatment plans after their visits which are shareable to their primary care doctors or for their records. NB: Skinsage does not provide medical service or advice. Do not utilize Skinsage in the case of a life threatening medical emergency. In addition to using this app it is advisable to also consult your physician in person.
For Physicians
Skinsage is available only to board certified dermatologists and physician assistants working directly with a board-certified dermatologist.
Skinsage provides a secure, end to end encrypted messaging platform to the doctor and their associates, secure video calling, messaging, asynchronous and synchronous teledermatology, dermatology and integrative dermatology specific templates for documentation, and at this time is mobile only.
For Patients
Download Skinsage after your dermatologist registers you as a patient and connect with your doctor for your non-urgent, chronic skin conditions, cosmetic or skin health concerns. The app can be downloaded only at the invitation by your dermatologist and the visit may be free or there may be a charge as determined by your doctor.
Customer support can be found within the app for both doctors and patients in the settings section. Simply click on “feedback” and submit your questions or concerns.
